Trump Launches Fourth NFT Collection: ‘The America First Collection’

-

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has unveiled a new series of non-fungible token (NFT) digital trading cards, marking his fourth release in this format. The collection, known as “The America First Collection,” consists of 50 unique digital cards, each featuring different images, including one of Trump holding Bitcoin. The release was announced on Trump’s Truth Social platform on August 27.

The new NFT series is being marketed as an opportunity for collectors to buy a piece of American history. The card costs $99; people who purchase 15 or more cards will receive a physical trading card. These tangible cards will incorporate a part of the suit Trump wore when facing Joe Biden in their debate in the elections. These five physical cards will be signed at random by Trump. Furthermore, those who purchase 75 cards, will be allowed to a gala dinner at Trump Country Club, Jupiter, Florida.

Trump also underlined the fact that these are easy to buy, and for this, one only needs an email address and a credit card or cryptocurrency. He also called himself the “crypto president,” which showed that he noted his increasing relevance in the crypto space.

Trump’s New NFT Collection Sells 22K Units in One Day, Worth Over $2.17M

The collection has received positive feedback with more than 22K units sold on the Polygon network within a single day of its launch and the sales value being more than $2.17 million. However, out of the total of 360,000 NFTs, only 6% have been sold out. Depending on the sales of the entire collection, it can easily sell for over $35 million. The NFTs will not be tradable on secondary markets until January 31, 2025.

At the same time, the American Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is planning to take action against NFTs, which may affect the market. This is because Trump has threatened to fire the current SEC chairperson, Gary Gensler if he is re-elected. With this new collection, Trump’s position has changed as he has become increasingly involved with the crypto community, including allowing campaign contributions in cryptocurrencies.
