Ripple 1B XRP unlock funds from the October 1 drop still sit idle in two company wallets after 26 days. Checks on the ledger cited on October 27 show neither wallet has sent a payment since that drop. Another 1 billion XRP can leave escrow on November 1 under Ripple's monthly plan. That timing matters for XRP news readers as Swell 2026 opens in New York.

Ripple 1B XRP Unlock Still Sits in Labeled Wallets

Four escrow deals freed a combined 1 billion XRP on October 1. Tokens entered two addresses XRPScan labels Ripple 10 and Ripple 11, at 500 million XRP each. A Yahoo Finance market note tracked those wallets. Later ledger checks showed both wallets still holding those balances with no payments out. The funds stayed put for the full 26-day stretch.

That quiet stretch matters because monthly escrow drops shape how traders think about XRP supply. Tokens that leave escrow do not have to hit exchanges or public markets. Ripple can keep freed XRP in company accounts or move parts later. Here, the labeled wallets show no outbound payments from either address.

On a separate track, XRP Insights' escrow tracker logged 700 million XRP sent back into new escrow deals on October 1. Those moves used different accounts and set free dates into 2029. So the idle wallet balances are not the same as Ripple's wider escrow recycling. Both tracks cover the October cycle, but they measure different account flows.

Another 1 Billion XRP Becomes Releasable on November 1

Ripple's next set escrow date is Sunday, November 1, when another 1 billion XRP can leave. XRP Insights shows two Ripple-owned escrow deals hit their earliest end time at 00:00 UTC. Each holds 500 million XRP, matching the firm's monthly pattern. The open question is whether Ripple will keep or move the newly free tokens.

Under XRP Ledger EscrowFinish rules, an escrow needs a successful EscrowFinish move before tokens reach their end wallet. Hitting the set time does not auto-send XRP into markets. After finish, Ripple can keep the tokens, transfer them, or open new escrow deals. How much reaches other wallets depends on later moves.

History shows Ripple often sends large shares of monthly drops back to escrow. XRP Insights records 12 billion XRP freed across the prior 12 cycles, with 8.4 billion put back into escrow. That is about 70% of freed tokens, leaving 3.6 billion XRP outside those deals on a net basis. Past cycles do not lock in how November's drop will land.

Swell 2026 Puts Ripple Holdings Back in View

Ripple's Swell 2026 event opened in New York on October 27 and runs through October 29. Banks, developers, and digital-asset firms meet on chain finance, payments, and tokenized funds on XRPL. This year also merges Swell with Apex, Ripple's developer conference, for the first time.
