Mini Dapps and a Dapp Portal powered by Kaia Blockchain have been developed by the LINE innovation arm, LINE NEXT INC. The idea of Mini Dapps is to streamline the Web3 user experience. Developers build these Mini Dapps directly on the LINE Messenger, and users access them through the Dapp Portal’s Official Account.
The Mini Dapps ecosystem covers gaming, social media, and content enabled with Web3. According to the firm’s statement, users can browse through and engage with the apps. They can also trade digital assets and collect rewards using an in-app wallet. Further updates include a web-based Dapp Portal integrated into the LINE Messenger home tab, making it even more accessible.
LINE NEXT Unveils Mini Dapps to Simplify Web3 Adoption
The first 32 Mini Dapps, developed under the Kaia Wave initiative, show that LINE NEXT is committed to empowering Web3 developers. This effort is a collaboration with the Kaia DLT Foundation, which oversees the growth of the Kaia blockchain’s ecosystem. LINE NEXT’s software development kit (SDK) played a pivotal role in streamlining the development process for Mini Dapps.
The earliest standouts included Cattea from Pluto Studio, which reached 43 million users within six months. Another notable success was LINE’s Captain Tsubasa -RIVALS-, a soccer game based on the classic manga. Another innovation was the merging of a fitness routine with tangible rewards in Superz for non-crypto users.
Youngsu Ko, CEO of LINE NEXT, emphasized accessibility, “Mini Dapps based on LINE Messenger will become the first large-scale Web3 user adoption case in Asia.” Dr. Sam Seo, Chairman of the Kaia DLT Foundation, added, “We are excited to provide a seamless Web3 experience through Mini Dapps and Dapp Portal.
