Deutsche Telekom Partners with NEAR Blockchain

-

Deutsche Telekom partners with NEAR Blockchain to enhance scalability, security, and AI integration, supporting decentralization and user data sovereignty.

Deutsche Telekom’s subsidiary, Telekom MMS, has entered into a strategic partnership with the NEAR Protocol by joining its Enterprise Node Operators (ENO) program. This collaboration marks a significant milestone. As a result, Deutsche Telekom becomes the first telecommunications company to operate a validator within the NEAR ecosystem. These are important participants in the blockchain system since they check and verify transactions for the proper functioning and safety of the network.

This partnership indicates a rising institutional trend towards the NEAR blockchain, which is highly scalable and easy to use. The NEAR Protocol enables developers to build dApps that can handle millions of users.

This scalability is possible through a feature known as “sharding” which breaks the blockchain into smaller sections. Every shard handles its data, meaning the traffic within the network can be handled efficiently. Therefore, NEAR is capable of handling a high number of transactions while continuing to deliver speed and stability on the NEAR blockchain.

In addition, the ENO program is by Meta Pool and is part of NEAR’s strategy to invite institutional players into the ecosystem. With the help of partners like Deutsche Telekom, NEAR wants to develop decentralization and network security. Moreover, this will help the company adapt to the growing needs of the blockchain and Web3 markets.

Since May 2024, NEAR has dedicated its efforts to AI and blockchain, with a special emphasis on User-Owned AI. This gives users more control over their data and provides a more open base for AI projects. NEAR aims to combine the two technologies to provide users and developers with solutions for creating safe AI applications built on the blockchain.

Oliver Nyderle is the Head of Digital Trust & Web3 Infrastructure at Deutsche Telekom MMS. He has enthusiastically responded to the partnership, noting that it is a “prospective and revolutionary” solution. Further, he stressed that both organizations are interested in data sovereignty and users’ rights.

Claudio Cossio, co-founder of Meta Pool, highlighted that Deutsche Telekom’s infrastructure expertise will accelerate decentralization in the NEAR ecosystem. As a result, the partnership is expected to strengthen the overall network.

Through this partnership, Deutsche Telekom MMS expands its staking portfolio. Furthermore, it strengthens its position in the decentralized AI and scalability sectors. With its reliable infrastructure and technical know-how, Deutsche Telekom is helping to propel the growth and decentralization of the NEAR ecosystem.
