Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has successfully distributed Catizen ($CATI) tokens via airdrop. The listing of Catizen’s native token went live today at 10 a.m. in Dubai, making Bybit the first exchange to complete the airdrop for the Telegram-based tap-to-earn game.
The airdrop is part of a bigger strategy by the Catizen team, with 340 million CATI tokens available for distribution. The current airdrop saw 17.7 million CATI tokens transferred to Bybit from the official CATI address on the TON blockchain, with the remaining 190 million tokens reserved for future quarterly campaigns.
A Smooth Trading Environment
Bybit provided a secure and quick token distribution process, keeping the CATI launch price stable at $0.97. In a press release, the exchange stressed the importance of its technical infrastructure in ensuring the airdrop and listing process ran well. The successful distribution demonstrates Bybit’s ability to handle large-scale token operations while maintaining high performance and security standards.
Catizen, a prominent Web3 project, has over 34 million users and generates around $26 million in income from in-app purchases. Players can earn tokens by interacting with the game’s mini app on Telegram, fulfilling tasks, improving towns, and taking part in community activities.
Following a two-month delay, CATI tokens, with an initial supply of 150 million, or 15% of the entire 1 billion token supply, are now available for trade on major exchanges including as Binance, Bybit, and Bitget. Deposits into non-custodial wallets began yesterday, and qualified gamers received tokens based on their in-game activities.
Players can increase their rewards by completing activities, recruiting friends to join the Catizen project, and taking part in in-game events. The in-game currencies, Fish and vKitty, gained from these actions can subsequently be turned into CATI tokens.
