Cryptocurrency enthusiasts have heard of Antshares before. This particular platform has been of great interest to the community as of late. The Antshares team has now released a new desktop application, which features an updated core protocol and the introduction of smart contracts 2.0. While this is still a beta version, the desktop client packs quite a punch.
Antshares Introduces Beta Smart Contracts 2.0
The concept of smart contracts has been well received by developers all over the world. Antshares wants to up the game by introducing a better version of this technology. Since the underlying technology of smart contracts has not been seen by the general public, Antshares wants to change all of that moving forward.
To be more specific, there are quite a few different smart contracts-based projects in the world of Ethereum right now. However, the average person on the street will not look into these projects per se. This is why Antshares wants to create a solution that is more approachable by the general public. Moreover, the smart contracts 2.0 platform will pave the way for the future development of this technology.
Among the new features this technology introduces are high finality, high scalability, and improved performance. Smart contracts 2.0 are mainly designed to be used in verification, function, and application contracts moving forward. By using the Antshares Virtual Machine for the runtime environment, smart contracts 2.0 will offer quite a significant performance improvement.
Additionally, the AVM is designed to provide encryption instructions to optimize execution efficiency of the algorithm used in smart contracts. Additionally, the data operation set can handle complicate data structures without any problems. Scalability will be achieved through dynamic sharding and high concurrency.
Unlike Ethereum smart contracts, Antshares uses a very different coding language. In fact, the Antshares smart contracts 2.0 can be written in virtually any coding language the developers want to use. Right now, C#, VB, .Net, and F# are supported. JAVA, C++, Python, and Javascript support is coming at a later stage. By taking this route, the Antshares smart contract 2.0 offerings enables the transfer of codes of existing businesses to the blockchain without any friction.
